Was that a good sign? I wouldn’t call it positive. Felt very light headed so had to stop.
Yes, that’s not abnormal.
When you’re still doing it 10 years from now , there will still be days when it makes you feel light-headed.
Like I said in OP, think of it like the original “Ascension” exercise… ie always giving you a little more energy to grow further, no matter how long you’ve done it.
People who used to come in my old shop: “But I could get it cheaper at Wal-mart!”
Me: “Well then why the fuck are you not in Wal-mart?”
The thing is that I’m not feeling the extra energy. Just light headed so I stopped after 30 secs and sat down. Today was my third day.
Perhaps I’m doing it incorrectly…?
Wow! I’d try it but it might be too much oxygen lol
I probably should remove the post as it can get a bit over to much
How do you get to Ultra Instinct lol?
Alright @_OM and @MonkeyOwl, as usual I find ways to confuse myself and need clearer instructions
So I did about 20 intense breaths and felt tired. But I did feel awakened (sort of like the same feeling you get when you have a cold shower). But there was no tingly energy feeling. Now:
So yeah as said before, I could imagine energy going to these places but couldn’t feel any tingling there.
When do I know when to stop the breaths? Do I have to feel the tingling? I thought this rush of energy was only experienced after holding your breath.
Also how do you hold your breath and simultaneously physically say words? Don’t you need to breathe to speak? Or do you say these words in your mind?
Edit: Okay I gave it another try and I felt powerful vibrations in my feet and lower shins after about 40 breaths. No such vibrations in my outstretched arms or sacral plexus though. Was this the sign to move over to holding my breath? Still don’t know how to physically say words while holding my breath.
Just wanna perfect the technique because I’m going to be doing it 2x a day for the next 5 months.
You don’t have to say the words outloud…
But you should Mentally repeat them with clear intent after you’ve taken a big breath and are holding it and even after you exhale that breath.
Just keep practicing it.
I promise you’ll figure it out after a week.
For now, just do your best to reread the instructions and don’t worry about perfecting it right now.
Cool experiences, do you ever think of just doing it without thinking too much about the goal and just feel the exercise?
I am by nature an overthinker, so I do actually think about it haha. Especially the visualisation of the energy flowing through my arms and the solar plexus.
Sure thing. Just got a concern about raised intraabdominal pressure with all the heavy breathing which can result in hernias. Do you know if this raises intraabdominal pressure? I certainly know that actions like excessive coughing and straining on the toilet raise the intraabdominal pressure which can result in hernias long term.
What do you think about building a new “doing” habit that through time would be a natural thing to you. Pardon me to say this because you are a doctor which is already a heavy job on your shoulders and overthinking isn’t helped you in the long run.
I’ve never heard of anyone getting a hernia from this.
That said, if you’re that worried that holding one’s breath is going to cause you a hernia, maybe this exercise isn’t for you.
Haha I’m a wannabe doctor. Still a medical student. We’re not as busy as people think we are. Most time is spent procrastinating anyway.
Yeah, I could get on board with a “doing” habit. I’ve certainly done it in the past with driving (everyone has their own driving style don’t they?).
It was a minor worry. And anyway, if I get energy sensitive to the point where all the fields work for me perfectly, then I could just strengthen my abdominal wall with dream’s fields. Probably nothing to worry about.
You know this exercise reminds me of Bhastrika. Ironically hernias are one of the things it’s supposed to treat.
It shouldn’t. If you compare it with your examples, there is much less “force”. You’re freely breathing in and out, just intensely… it’s not the same as your examples.
For me the effect really varies so far.
In the beginning I had tingling in my palms, sometimes dizziness… first week I hated this exercise because I got the same sort of feeling as when sea water goes up your sinuses, or something similar. And like a nerve from the top of my head down the back of the skull was “hurting” due to the breathing.
That sensation was gone after about 5 days (of doing it multiple times per day)
Now the weird thing is when I breathe out, I always seem to get a smell/taste/feeling of something in my mouth.
Today in the morning it was pumpkin, but it’s not necessarily food, e.g. yesterday evening it was fresh soil. Sometimes it’s medicine or the same taste you get at the dentist lol
Edit: no I didn’t have pumpkins recently but there are some of them lying around outside here :D
Uh also, breathing out AFTER holding the air in, so in the end… that’s when the tast/smell comes, not during the breathing part.
Huh. The thing about taste is fascinating. Reminds of me of how some people have tasted salt upon listening to the salt cleanse audio.
This is new for me as well :D
I’m glad you’ve had success with it so far :)
