Any reviews for The Essex Serpent on Apple TV+?

I usually stay away from Apple TV+ - every single show I’ve tried to watch seems to have been written by some crazy Bernie-Squad-bro (“money is bad”, “rich people should donate all their money and go broke”, “hail socialism” and that sort… lol)… but just heard of this series which has Tom Hiddleston in it…

Did anyone see it?

This show right here is so so good omg something best I have ever seen
It’s so historical accurate
Catharine Medici had Nostradamus as friend like it’s showed in show, all occurrences are historical accurate and yet such a great show.

What a great show I have just watched

My jaws are fully dropping :frowning_face_with_open_mouth:

Full of anticipations, anxiety, plot twisted from episode to episode just like that
They have literally embodied the character of Jack the ripper
How the hell this doesn’t have 2nd season in 5 years from now?
I am asking for a friend

5 days left until the new season of Warrior Nun

Watching Tho Office—American version. I saw the British version a long time ago. It was great. But the American version is more enjoyable and less cruel. Not say saying it’s better, though.

Yes yes :raised_hands:
You’ll love it!

Started watching Code Geass

A mecha anime of late 2000s. The animation still holds for today. Terrific plot! I might be in love with Lelouch lol. But this anime also has great geopolitics and characterisation for Lelouch is chef’s kiss. His ideology is very interesting.
Edit: I’m not in love with Lelouch anymore lol but I’d like to have a friend or brother like him.

I’m just rewatching Bob’s Burger cause my limited circle of comfort shows isn’t updating as fast as I need xD

I don’t know if there has been many cartoons recommended here so there you go:

This is surely for kids (is a Nickelodeon production), but the animation is top quality and that crew is just loveable.
But to be honest at the beginning the kid was so uncharismatic I fast forwarded…so yeah I’ve watched the whole show except for the first 10 mins.

After that it is all good and even though they appear for only some mins…there is an alien civilization living on a desert planet that basically use cimatics for “terramodification”…that was nice.

I’d totally live in this universe.

Best thing to ever come out of Star Wars. It is like the Animatrix. A series of shorts from different creators inspired by Star Wars…I don’t even like Star Wars xD…this is how good this show is. My suggestion is leave the first episode for the last one you watch.

This is a comedy show about conspiracies. Has a few nice jokes around and the characters (and their evolution) are likeable.

This is done by one half of Rick & Morty so you know what to expect.

Dunno if I will like this one in the end but for now it is a great “coming of age” show.

If you only watch one episode form Love, Death & Robot’s last season, let it be this one. This is in an almost Arcane level animation quality. This one probably isn’t for kids though.

This is the most adult show on this list. I thought it was gonna be for kids but…it goes hard if it is for kids xD. Dunno how it is gonna evolve cause there is an evil megacorp that has lost control of “uploaded intelligence”. Starts out with a kid trying to contact her dead father that was basically uploaded to the cloud. Last episode I watched they were treating the creator of the technology not too well.
But the show builds nice suspense throughout the episodes.

Well…everything bad you’ve been told about this show is true…but in case anyone didn’t notice, I decide based on animation quality xD. And the characters were designed by Yoshitaka Amano so I couldn’t not watch it. For the nerds out there…the spaceship and all that is cool too. The piano piece is pure morphine.

Another misleading show…not for kids.

10 mins episodes and interesting topics and sense of humour. I definitely watch this at random times, but it is better than expected.

Watched long ago…kinda bad ending…but I reached the end so it holds up. The old movie is cocaine though but don’t watch it before the show.

I usually dislike childish characters and the show protas are kiddos but…I ended up having empathy for them and liking them.
It is still an interesting show, has kaijus, nice animation (some hate the CGI but I like it) and the syncing thing they do is called drift so that’s it xD

A show with a nice ambience.

Exactly what you’re expecting.

No idea what this was about but look at the animation :exploding_head:

Another one where everything bad you’ve heard about is true. But it has some interesting and nicely done episodes.

So that’s it. Next installment: Netflix teen shows I would have never in my life thought I’d watch, let alone like. They usually get released when there is literally nothing interesting to watch. Only thing netflix gets right xD

And for those mourning Cyberpunk…sorry but you gotta see this:
