You can do oil washing Iāve never looked back since doing that. It deep cleanses (works great to remove makeup!) without stripping the skin of its essential moisture. Surprisingly, it also works wonders for acne.
You take an oil thatās suited to your skin type (they can be found quickly online) and massage it into your skin for 1-2 minutes. The oil will dissolve the dirt and sebum from within the pores. The massage is also great for blood and lymph circulation.
Then, take a washcloth that has tolerably hot water on it and cover your face, leaving one corner free. You let the steam work its magic to open the pores for 1-2 minutes (this step can be skipped if in a hurry, it just cleanses deeper). The dirt in the pores will go to the surface and replaced by beneficial oils.
Take the free corner and gently remove the oil.
Thatās it! This sounded so counter intuitive to me, but it works better than any fancy soap Iāve ever used, skin looks glowing and plump. I often donāt need to add moisturizer but when I do I just put one drop of jojoba oil et voilĆ ! I had a phase of expensive creams and regimens and was surprised that this beats them all.
