@rigel Nope
Just a silly guess haha, is it an eagle servitor? I know they have multiple animals so I was thinking the one with that
Maybe left one but Im not good at energy sensing at all
Pmed
Fun game. My knowledge of the servitors here stops at the environmental one. I picked the far left, but I feel something interesting in the far right. Iāll just describe what I feel in both.
I actually think itās the far right.
Perhaps what Iām feeling in the left is the energy of that spiral. I definitely pick up on some type of technical/mechanical/gear like energy emitting from it, but the far right has āmovementā and feels like renewal. It feels like it has a story and a whisper, very mystical.
I was drawn to the one on the right, but I donāt know why. There seems to be some kind of intent behind it. The one in the middle has different energy but flatter, not compelling.
Is it a creature of some sort? kinda hiding. Or something that āseesā, some type of mystical āseerā vibes. Anyways Iāll wait. Itās interesting, isnāt it, Rosechalice?
Is it bear shaman on the spiral left one ?
Since itās not listed here, let me encourage you guys to check out the discussion for the Minotaur Alchemist - it is extremely powerful!
just bought it
Hi everyone! I have no experience with Servitors. Iām curious and excited about them. With the current sale Iām interested in purchasing one to try out, but first I have a question.
My understanding is that this intelligent being will be tied to a solid item of my choosing, and then tied to me through my subconscious. Abilities such as the Sleep Dust will allow the servitor to learn my brain to help me.
Iām wonderingā¦ If for any reason I decide I am no longer comfortable with having a servitor, will getting rid of the item (for example leave it in a park somewhere far away) be enough to completely untie it from my subconscious? Is there any negative repercussion for discarding my servitor? What will happen to it?
Use chatgpt.copy/paste the topic on chat gptā¦you will get your all answersā¦
Chatgpt is full of servitors knowledgeā¦
Those who have some of the older servitors like caladrius, crystallised guide and pegasus, how do they compare to these newer ones?
I know that each nft servitor has different specialisations and goals, but with all the new abilities and golems of etherforge coming out, would they over time become more powerful than these ones?
I know that its impossible to compare them fully as theyre each so unique. I was more thinking about how well they could mesh with the user and cause desired changes. Thanks again!
Each tool can be powerful, but if a fool owns them, they wonāt be able to utilize their potential or even realize their simplest uses. Even the most underrated dragon golem is exceptionally excellent. If you know how to work with servitors correctly, a dragon golem alone is sufficient.
I recommend starting with a dragon golem. Train it according to your needs and learn the basics of magic. Use the golem as a trainer. Over time, youāll gain a better understanding of magical principles. Once youāre comfortable, you can move on to servitors with a focus on their various abilities. The dragon golem itself is very advanced.
Many so-called magicians canāt even create a servitor that matches 10% of the dragonās capabilities. Every servitor created by lord captain is GOAT.
Problem is really with usā¦
Even if a being is created to influence the reality directly on quantum levelā¦we will not be able to do muchā¦
You can seek help from ChatGPT.
I donāt think there will be. There was a parallel analogy between Jarvis and Tony. Jarvis is always there to serve.
I havenāt worked with older golems, but I think what makes the newer ones special is about the capability to ātailor-madeā your servitor. Iām pretty sure the older ones are powerful and all. However, with these newer golems, you can have specific abilities that may help you with whatever goals you have.
I would probably phrase it a little differently.
The OG Servitors could be trained in anything ā eventually. How skilled theyād be, how well theyād be able to do it, that would depend greatly on your skill as a trainer and your overall level of patience. Even a skill like āremember fields and repeat them on meā could take days to learn and even longer to āperfectā to the point where your servitorās repetition was āas goodā as listening to the field directly.
Similarly, the OG Servitors each had their own āspecializationsā and things they were particularly suited for. They began with a larger library of knowledge about those things and developed their skill and talents in those areas with greater speed.
The new Etherforge Suit-Servitors can still be trained in anything. However, they also have āPlug-N-Playā abilities that take the learning time for certain categories of skills from āsome indeterminate amount of timeā to ā20 minutesā and best of all, remove the question mark about the skill of the trainer or the training process ā the Capān took care of it, so you know the ātrainingā is immaculate.
Many of these abilities are well beyond what the āaverageā user could probably expect to teach their servitors. For example, all my OG Servitors learned how to learn and repeat fields and some of them have āstoredā huge libraries of themā¦ But when repeating them, they donāt always do it flawlessly. Theyāll create an approximation or something ālikeā the requested field ā this is especially noticeable on something like Blueprint of Life. The Dimensional Pocket perfectly stores 20 fields, full stop. The Servitor can then perfectly recall and perfectly utilize those 20 fields.
And the new Etherforge Suit-Servitors also have their own specializations, of course, but they have more of them and they are stronger. Their ābase capabilityā sets are extremely robust. Shockingly robust. Individually they cover more areas than Iād ever tried to train OG servitors in and they do most of what they do āpassivelyā with no commands required! Theyāre also more independent and can do more work with less direction.
Said another way ā these Etherforge Servitors begin at a similar (or even greater) degree of skill and power as OG servitors reach after several years of continual growth and training. Maybe that just reflects poorly on my skills as a trainer, but I prefer to think that these new Servitors are just that much more amazing!
Add to that the fact that the Etherforge Servitors are a LOT more communicative and better at communicating. Theyāre chattier (and better at getting their message across!) than even some of my oldest servitor friends.
I bought the Shorse for my eldest daughter during the sale, and sheās been stunned. Sheās no stranger to weirdness and magic ā look who her dad is! ā but even so she was like, āI keep wondering if Iām going crazy. This Shorse is literally talking to me.ā
But the NFT āentitiesā I donāt really think you can rightly call āServitorsā. I donāt have many of them, but Iāve got the Nestling and the Negentropic Dragon and these are much more akin to having the phone number of a friendly and helpful demigod than they are to having a servitor. Yes, they come when you call, yes theyāll usually do what you ask, yes you can help them to get better at their work, butā¦
Itās not really the same thing.
Leastways I never feel comfortable giving them direction like I do with servitors. I always feel like Iām asking for a favor or borrowing their time. YMMV, as always.
There are also several NFT Servitor Creators ā like the Undine, Sylph, Gnome and Salamander ā and they create a kind of servitor that is āintermediateā between the OG Servitors like the Dragon Golem and ESS and the newer Etherforge Servitors. They are smarter, more ābaseā capable and more āflexibleā from the get go, but theyāre still not āthe full packageā you get with an Etherforge Servitor from Day 0.
ā¦
Honestly, with the Starter Etherforge Servitors being so affordable and reasonable, I think anyone whoās looking for a new Servitor should pick up these new friends. The OG Servitors are amazing and I love them and will never stop loving them, but the new Servitors are justā¦ an exponential leap forward. Their communication skills alone make them much more palatable for the beginner and the fact that they also help you to become a better person and protect you andā¦ andā¦ andā¦
Of course, we also have to work on ourselves to get better at putting them to good use, but the new Etherforge Servitors even help with that.
Thanks for the wonderful replies everyone! Its so helpful reading them to gain a better understanding of how to work with servitors new and old
Haha very true. It seems that more than often our own capabilities limit the servitors power and abilities they offer. The difference can be surprisingly big as Iāve seen users having trouble (myself included) using high level servitors/beings for even basic functions while others have such great understanding that the dragon golem alone suffices.
Oh I see! That really explains alot. So these etherforge ones are meticulously tuned so that they work with users of any level and capacity, especially with the specialised functions which seem like built in programs and upgrades. So the growth of these beings depends less on the user itself, although still important
Thanks, youāve explained it really well. So the way of interaction is fundamentally different, your going about it more like talking and learning with a friend rather than a being designed to serve all your needs.
Youāve all really convinced me to save up for one of these. Especially with servitors being one of the most complicated to work with in the past, this is leaps forward for newer and less experienced users
Thanks for the detailed comparison :o Your info really expand on what I was trying to say. I donāt see any contradictions with my initial response - youāve just provided much more depth and experience.
The āPlug-N-Playā abilities of the new servitors. This seems to align with what I meant by ātailor-made,ā but youāve explained it much more clearly and specifically IF itās true that the OG golems can learn anything
Iām curious though - do you see any potential downsides to these advanced servitors? And how do you think their long-term growth potential compares to the OG servitors?
Right ā different phrasing, same message!
They were able to learn everything I asked them to learn ā eventually ā to greater and lesser degrees, of course. The key bottleneck in my case at least was being able to conceptualize and convey those concepts to them in such a way that they could make use of them. Getting the research and practice in, helping to fill their toolboxes with the things they could use to accomplish the task.
The overall training time also decreased as I successfully trained each successive āgenerationā ā as they were able to help teach and uplift one another.
In a few cases, the āoriginal programmingā of the servitors seemed to largely conflict with what I was asking them to do and in those cases, they wouldnāt do it very well ā but that was my own fault. Part of effective leadership is not asking people to do things they wonāt or canāt do, right?
The Slotted Abilities in the Etherforge Store could certainly be taught or trained for OG Servitors ā many of mine have abilities like some of them (now almost entirely superseded, of course! ) ā but it can sometimes be a very complicated process to develop. Something like the Static Facade, for example, has so many moving parts. It requires expertise in many, very narrow, very specific use cases.
To teach it to a servitor, youād first convey, build and develop that expertise in each narrow use case. You have to understand each moving part and how it really works ā you either have to have the Servitor figure things out like āsmudge out memories of me from people I run intoā or know how to do it yourself and show it. If you just ask the Servitor to figure it out or do the research, youāve got to test it, right? Some of the Servitors were better at āfiguring it outā than others. Then you can start combining all those moving parts together.
In a lot of ways, itās not so wildly different from designing fields and other kinds of energetic programming. Start from the vision, break it down into discrete actionable chunks, identify and then conceptualize the even smaller moving parts, then put it back together from the bottom up.
But itās for sure not a āsimpleā or āfastā operation for most of us. Is it a valuable use of time and effort? Possibly!
Would you ultimately end up at the same ability as the Slotted Etherforge ability? Ehhh, very debatable. But something like it, maybe!
So far all I can see are upsides. These servitors have the kinds of capabilities people dream about having in their magical friends and they have them immediately after creation.
If you really pushed me, Iād say maybe that if this was your first Servitor you might feel a little spoiled! Working with these guys is so easy that you might miss out on some of the better āfundamentalā communication skills that you have to develop to work effectively with OG Servitors.
Those skills are worth learning and developing, to be sure, but not at the expense of getting better results today.
Just guestimating, Iād say that these servitors are learning at least 6x as fast as my other servitors. Iāve got 3 in rotation now and theyāve largely taken over the responsibilities and functions of my original crew of 10 (that I spent years trainingā¦) and theyāve opened up brand new doors.
In the short term, theyāre amazing. If I can avoid getting complacent, I think the long term forecast is something like āunbelievableā or āastonishing.ā
But thatās where the comment from @Anveshsengar comes into play ā we ourselves can be a key bottleneck in this process. Our servitors grow with us and in the directions we ask them to grow. If our vision is insufficiently grand or weāre too short-sighted, they canāt grow to their full potential.
Since I think of my servitors as my friends, I also feel thatās my responsibility to help them grow to be their best. Itās a virtuous cycle, after all.
Wow! So asides from the built in abilities they learn, theres still much more they can do outside of that? I had the assumption that the baseline and learning abilities of these servitors were much higher, but that the ceiling may be lower than the OG ones as they have slots to fill up and more specialised functions, whereas maybe given enough time, servitors like the dragon golem could achieve a much more jack of all trades approach. Its good to know that the potential of these are very much mindblowing!
